Henry Mao is a technology entrepreneur with expertise in game development and deep learning research.
In 2010, he founded Calclavia to develop computer games and mods, reaching over 1 million downloads from Minecraft mods and releasing two games (Relay, Stackable) on iOS and Android.
Henry’s interest in artificial intelligence led him to co-found a startup in 2016, Altum Inc., currently developing cryptocurrency trading systems using deep reinforcement learning techniques. He also published a research paper DeepJ on polyphonic music composition with the UCSD GURU Lab.
Henry is also a hobbyist musician, having played violin at a young age and currently playing the guitar.
